Frequently asked questions
No, and we think it matters that we say so. Glow by K&D is a curated collection — we choose the products, use them, and stock the ones worth stocking. Each product is made by its own brand, and the responsible person named on the pack is theirs.
Generally no. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days to change your mind about an online order — but that right does not apply to sealed goods that are unsuitable for return once opened for health or hygiene reasons, and skincare falls into that category.
So a sealed product can go back. An opened one usually cannot. That is separate from your rights if something is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered — those always stand.
Every product page says who it suits and where it sits in a routine. If you are still unsure, message us with what your skin does rather than what you think it is — oily by lunchtime, tight after cleansing, red around the nose. That tells us far more than a skin type ever does.
Yes, with anything new. Put a small amount on the inner forearm or behind the ear, leave it a day, and see what happens. It is a nuisance and it takes about thirty seconds.
Some ingredients are usually avoided in pregnancy, retinol among them — the Madeca Cream Time Reverse Zero contains it. We are not qualified to advise on this, so please check with your midwife, GP or pharmacist rather than taking our word for it.
You can, but not all at the same time and not from day one. Introduce one new thing at a time and give it a fortnight before adding another. If something stings beyond the first minute, that is not it working.
Pick a product and choose 4, 8 or 12 weeks. We email before every order is charged so you can skip, change or cancel first. There is no minimum term, no notice period and no cancellation fee — you can stop it from your account whenever you like. Full detail on the subscriptions page.
No. We are a shop, not a clinic, and nothing on this site is medical advice. What we offer is a short shelf of products we have used ourselves and straight answers about what each one does. If your skin is painful, spreading, changing or simply not getting better, please see a GP, pharmacist or dermatologist.
All companies are researched and reputable, to ensure safety and authenticity.
This is done on an individual basis — contact us for postage and packing prices.
None of our products are tested on animals. Please also check each individual product, as the position belongs to the brand that makes it.
Send us a photograph and your order number and we will replace it or refund you, whichever you prefer. You are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and we are not going to make you work for it.
Stop using it. Tell us which product and what happened — we pass reactions back to the brand, because they hold the safety file. If the reaction is severe, please speak to a pharmacist or GP first and us afterwards.
Not covered here? Send us a message — it comes straight to us.
