Our story
A friendship that began in nursing, and the shelf it turned into.

Glow by K&D does not make skincare — it chooses it, which is a different job and, done properly, a harder one.
Everything here has been specially selected using our knowledge and personal experience to ensure the right ingredients are used in combination for the right needs.
Meet Kelly
Hi, I’m Kelly, co-founder of Glow by K&D. I’ve worked in care for many years, gaining experience across a variety of healthcare settings, including dementia care and oncology. My career has always been centred around caring for people, supporting their wellbeing and helping them feel their best.
After qualifying as a Nursing Associate, I became increasingly interested in skincare and the importance of looking after our skin. I then went on to train in aesthetics, which is where my passion for skincare really began.
Through my training and experience, I discovered just how important a good skincare routine can be. Looking after your skin isn’t simply about appearance — it’s about taking time for yourself, understanding what your skin needs and giving it the care it deserves.
I met my co-founder, Debbie, through our work, and we quickly discovered that we shared the same passion for skincare and helping others. We decided to bring our knowledge, experience and passion together and created Glow by K&D. Our aim is simple: to offer good, quality skincare products that work, while making skincare easy, enjoyable and accessible.
At Glow by K&D, we carefully select products that we believe can genuinely make a difference to your skin. We want to help you build a skincare routine that leaves you feeling confident, cared for and glowing.
For us, Glow by K&D is about more than skincare. It’s about self-care, confidence and helping you feel good in your own skin.
Meet Debbie
My nursing journey started a little later than most. I was 25 when I began my training in London in 1996, and I honestly never imagined then where that journey would eventually take me. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in hospitals across London, Essex and Middlesbrough before moving into community nursing in 2012.
From the very beginning of my nursing career, I always said that I wanted to care for older people. I’ve always loved the opportunity to get to know people, hear their stories and make a genuine difference to their lives. That passion eventually led me to a nursing home, and it was there that I met Kelly. We clicked straight away and quickly became not only colleagues, but good friends.
At the time, Kelly was already working in aesthetics, and I would often ask her questions and became more interested in skincare, skin health and aesthetics myself. That curiosity eventually led me to train in aesthetics too, and our journey continued side by side. We later went on to manage a nursing home specialising in neurological conditions, sharing many experiences along the way.
Throughout our careers, one thing has always remained important to both of us — helping people feel good about themselves. Our love of skincare has grown over the years, and we’ve both come to appreciate that good skincare doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s about understanding your skin, using the right products and finding a routine that works for you.
And that is where Glow by K&D was born. We wanted to create something that brings together our professional experience, our passion for skincare and our genuine desire to help people look after their skin. Our carefully curated skincare boxes are designed to take the guesswork out of building a routine, making skincare feel simple, accessible and enjoyable.
For us, Glow by K&D is more than just a skincare business. It’s something we have created together from a friendship that began through nursing, grew through our shared passion for aesthetics and has now evolved into something we’re incredibly excited to share with you.
We hope you love Glow by K&D as much as we have loved creating it.
